  • Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 5071 Eden Avenue Edina, MN, 55436 United States (map)

You are invited to join in the 2019 Fall Team Training for RCIA Coordinators, Religious Education Coordinators, Catechists, Liturgists, Musicians, Priests, Deacons, and RCIA teams.

Dr. David Jenkins, D.M.A., (Keynote speaker - Faculty Member and Liturgical Music Director of St. Paul Seminary) will speak on Collaborating for the Kingdom: How Ministries Work Together to Build Up the Church. The Rite of Christian Initiation, like all sacraments, is the responsibility of all the People of God led by the many ministries of the local Church. Recognizing the need for collaboration in the parish, the RCIA Network, ALM, & ACRE are coming together to explore the dynamics and skills needed to be an evangelizing parish.

Breakout Sessions (choose two)
- Liturgy and Formation Working Together– The Staff of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Parish, Hastings: Mary Ellen Kenney, Sacramental Director, Kellen O’Grady, Liturgy and Music Director, and Fr. David Hennen, Pastor
- Educating First Responders – Karl Karnowski, Parish Administrator of the Church of St. Gerard and past chair of APBA (Association of Parish Business Administrators). Whoever answers the phone or greets people in a parish office is the face of the parish and needs know where to refer people who have questions about joining the Catholic Church. How do we help them to learn about the intricacies of initiation?
- It’s Our Job! – Maredith Toweh, Director of Faith for Life, St. Stephen’s Church, Anoka. What are some ways to help your parishioners carry out their baptismal mission of initiating new members?
- I’m a priest/deacon. What do I do now? – Dr. David Jenkins. Newly ordained or new to the parish, if your pastor has assigned you to the RCIA, where do you begin?

Registration begins at 8:30 am at Our Lady of Grace, Edina. Presentations will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
